Unfortunately, the cases of #COVID19 have continued to rise significantly over the last several weeks. To help reverse this, the Government has enacted another national lockdown for England, underpinned by law, from 5 November 2020 until 2 December 2020.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Generally the guidance is to stay at home as much as possible! However, you may leave home for work if you are not able to work from home, for essential activities, education, and medical care.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Meeting people socially is restricted, however you may meet one (1) person (outside of your support bubble) outdoors (excluding private gardens) if social distancing measures are followed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀People must work from home whenever possible to do so. Essential workers are exempted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀There are travel restrictions for both within the UK and abroad, unless it is for work, education, or any other legally permitted reason to do so. Walk or cycle when able, and follow safety guidance when using public transportation.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Schools, colleges, and universities remain open during the lockdown. If you are living in halls, there are restrictions in traveling away from term-time residence.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Non-essential businesses are closed or restricted, such as non-essential retail, restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, hotels and other accommodations, leisure/sports centres, entertainment venues, community centres, personal care facilities, and places of worship.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀This is just a brief overview of the new guidance.
